That is what I find in my dresser's drawer most of the time. A few pieces of broken bangles, bangles meant a lot when I was in college. Yeah, that was back then.
I guess, this is age related, at one point of time, I was so crazy about bangles... had so many of them. Each dress had its matching bangle sets. Not anymore... they just decorate the dresser drawers now. Nice one for the theme!
I like to wear these bangles when I dress up for weddings and anniversary parties etc. I was going to break some for today's post, but Dad freaked out at the idea! Apparently, bangles breaking is considered a bad omen or something? Whatever. I don't care much about the superstitions, but I sure wanted my head in one piece, so I decided to humour Dad! :|
I have never been crazy about bangles at any point of my life except when I plan to wear a saree for some occasion. I buy beautiful metal/bangles for such occasion. After having baby I have stopped wearing even a watch because when I hold my son, it is uncomfortable for him to sit on a watch/bangle. But we don't keep broken bangles for some superstition!
@Naina - yeah they do :( Afshan - :) Jyothi, Pallavi - Aah... memories absolutely. The pick is more about that. Chicky - Yeah, but like every other superstition, I really don't believe in in. Reema- Everything changes when you have a baby :)
